Grief

What Is Grief?

Grief is a natural response to loss. It may follow the death of someone important, but it can also arise after a relationship ends, a change in health, the loss of a role or identity, or another significant life transition.

Everyone experiences grief differently. You may feel sadness, anger, guilt, numbness, confusion or relief. Grief can also affect sleep, concentration, appetite and your ability to manage everyday life.

Can Counselling Help with Grief?

Yes. Therapy can offer a compassionate and confidential space to talk about your loss and make sense of what you are experiencing.

A therapist can support you as you process difficult emotions, adjust to change and find ways to carry your grief while continuing to move forward at your own pace.

How Do I Make an Appointment?

You can explore our therapists’ profiles and contact someone directly, or complete our general enquiry form. A member of The Coping Corner may contact you to learn more about the support you are seeking and help connect you with a suitable therapist.
