Alcohol
When Alcohol Becomes Difficult to Manage
A person’s relationship with alcohol can change over time. Drinking may become a way of coping with stress, painful experiences, difficult emotions or challenges in everyday life.
How Can Therapy Help?
Therapy offers a confidential, non-judgemental space to explore the role alcohol plays in your life. It can help you understand your triggers, recognise patterns and develop healthier ways of coping.
The Coping Corner does not provide detoxification or primary addiction treatment. Where dependency is present, support from a GP or specialist addiction service may also be needed.
Finding the Right Therapist
Some of our therapists have experience supporting people affected by alcohol use. You can view their profiles or send a general enquiry, and we can help connect you with a suitable therapist.
