Meet Denise O’Flanagan
Psychotherapist & Founder of The Coping Corner
My approach to therapy is warm, authentic and tailored to you. I offer a supportive space where you can show up as you are, without pressure to have everything figured out.
I work with people who may be feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, unsure of themselves, or carrying the impact of difficult relationships, trauma, neurodivergence, chronic illness or cancer. My approach is trauma-informed and neurodivergence-affirming, with a focus on helping you better understand yourself, what you need, and what may be getting in the way.
Together, we can explore what’s been weighing on you and find practical ways of coping that genuinely fit your life. You don’t need to know exactly what you need from therapy before you begin — we can figure that out together.
The Vision behind the Coping Corner
The Coping Corner grew from a simple idea: therapy should feel approachable, human and grounded.
I wanted to create a space where people don’t feel they need to be on a big “healing journey” or have the right words before they come through the door. Sometimes you just need somewhere to talk, feel understood and get a little support with what life is throwing at you.
From the beginning, my vision was to bring together a diverse group of therapists and create a space where both clients and practitioners feel welcome, supported and connected.
