Meet Michelle Cleary
Michelle is a pre-accredited integrative psychotherapist. She understands that coming to therapy can be a big step, and believes that having a warm, compassionate space where you can feel heard and listened to without judgment can make a real difference. She aims to support each person through their own unique experience.
Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, struggling to cope, or simply want to understand yourself better, Michelle will work alongside you to help you make sense of what you are experiencing and find a way forward.
Michelle supports people experiencing a range of difficulties including; anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, stress and burnout, grief and bereavement. She has both personal experience and a particular interest in supporting parents, including parents of neurodivergent children, and parents whose children experience mental health difficulties. She understands the unique challenges these parents can face, and the mixture of love, worry, guilt, exhaustion and uncertainty that is often experienced while parenting in these circumstances.
Therapy can offer a space where you can put yourself first for a little while, speak openly about your experiences and feel heard and understood. It can be an opportunity to explore
your feelings without judgment, make sense of what you are going through and begin to find ways to support yourself.
Rather than taking a one-size-fits approach, Michelle works collaboratively with each person to understand their experiences, relationships, patterns, and what may have brought them to therapy. Her approach is Neurodivergent-affirming and person-centered, drawing on a range of therapeutic approaches such as attachment-based therapy and CBT. She offers both in-person and online sessions.
